Because of these unprecedented times, it is impacting on all of us in some form or another. So how can we look at what we want our careers/life to be about and start to reinvent ourselves and be even more versatile as we navigate our way through these unchartered times?
To start with we have to know our own story – where have we journeyed from, and along the way what skills, pearls of wisdom or learning have we acquired that makes us completely unique? Believe it or not, we all bring our own twist to things and no one person is exactly the same as the next. That is what makes you unique and can make you stand out from the crowd as you explore what is ahead.
When it comes to imagining the art of possibility I love to have a brand new book to write in or a fresh piece of paper to work on – either way – it’s about capturing your thoughts and ideas and experiences that enable you to re-vision your future. Taking time out to consider your responses to the following questions will give you a new map to embrace, and with bravery, courage, discipline, perseverance and resilience you may find a different way to approach your life, or indeed create a new path that you want to follow. The world is full of opportunity if you want to take a look! You’ve experienced various events, conversations and situations that equip you with the knowledge that you can transfer into a plan of action that takes you forward. Let your mind take on it’s own path and go with the flow wherever that takes you. As Christopher Columbus said, ‘You can never cross the ocean until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore’.

Wow!! These are some really soul searching questions that will certainly get you thinking about you, and what is important to you when it comes to re-visioning your own career and life. You are the captain of your journey of discovery, and you can write your own 'STAR’ story with the FAB skills, talents, abilities that you bring for the world to see. Remember – ‘Not all who wander are lost’ (J R R Tolkien). It is never too late to start imagining the life/career that you want; age and experience are the platforms to launch from – not the barriers. You have choice, and there are no rules!!! You can take your skills, wisdom and network that is unique to you to create your edge.
